Public Relations

Creation of the Games Slogan and Emblem

The following items were agreed upon in regard to the Games slogan and emblem at the First Executive Board Meeting. The slogan and emblem will be created within the 2019 fiscal year.

General Policies
  1. We will set up selection committees for the slogan and emblem consisting of around five external experts each, and have them review and select proposed slogans and emblems based on their expertise.
  2. The Executive Board will make the final decision, in coordination with the JOC and OCA.
Games Slogan Creation Policies
  1. In order to create an impactful slogan that concisely expresses the views and aims of the Games organizers, multiple candidate slogans will be requested from experts.
  2. The candidates will be narrowed down to one by the Slogan Selection Committee, and the decision will be finalized by the Executive Board. (Scheduled for the middle of October)
Games Emblem Creation Policies
  1. In order to gather momentum for the Games, we will call for designs from the public.
    Submission period: October 19 (Sun.) to noon on November 20 (Wed.)
  2. The submitted candidates will be narrowed down to around five by the Emblem Selection Committee.
  3. Opinions will be gathered on the remaining five candidates.
  4. Taking into account the gathered opinions, the Emblem Selection Committee will narrow down the candidates to one, and the decision will be finalized by the Executive Board. (Scheduled for around March)

Joint PR with the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Organizing Committee

We will promote initiatives in cooperation with the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Organising Committee (HAGOC), including PR activities on both our and their official website and making a joint PR video.

Along with the PR video, we will use the following PR items to spread word of the Asian Games hosted in Aichi-Nagoya.
