<Explanation by the Fédération Internationale de Teqball (FITEQ)>
Teqball is a next-generation fusion sport that combines the athleticism, the precision, and the finest ball-technique, played on a uniquely curved table. Teqball was inspired by the idea that a curved surface could unlock smoother ball movement and a whole new way to play — a vision that led to the creation of the first TEQ table after years of development. The sport was officially introduced worldwide in 2016 by Brazilian football legend and Teqball Ambassador, Ronaldinho, followed by the establishment of the international federation, FITEQ, in 2017.
Teqball has rapidly evolved into a global sport, supported by innovative training and development programmes that help athletes worldwide start and grow the game.. Today tens of thousands of athletes from over 150 countries are part of the global Teqball community, with the strong presence in Asia, and dynamic development in Japan.
Using only their feet, head, chest, and thighs, players showcase world-class skill, creativity, and control in intense one-on-one or doubles battles. Easy to start, spectacular to watch, and built for the digital era, Teqball delivers explosive rallies, fair play, and pure athletic expression — anytime, anywhere, people of all age group. It also actively promotes gender equality by offering men and women a true platform to compete together on an equal playing field.
